An Introduction to Digital Photo Editing

Ever wanted to learn how to make changes to pictures you’ve taken with your digital camera or smartphone?

This online workshop was brought to you live, in partnership with Wirral Libraries. They asked Mako Create to deliver a fun interactive live workshop, introducing the world of digital photo editing to their visitors and beyond.

This is the perfect introduction workshop for anyone who is interested in photography and digital photo manipulation. During this video, you will be given a crash course on how you can use FREE online photo editing software to make changes such as cropping, rotating, scaling and touching up your digital pictures.

Participants will learn how to take an image directly from their camera and turn it into something that is ready to share with the world.

Who is this activity for?

No previous experience is needed to take part in this workshop, meaning it’s perfect for beginners. We suggest a minimum age of 8 for our activities. If you’re not quite old enough, why not see if an adult can help you. Price? FREE! That’s right, this Live Stream session is free to rewatch, thanks to the support from Wirral Libraries.

As this is an online session you will require the following:

  • A computer/laptop with internet access, to edit your photos.
  • (Ideally) Another device connected to the internet, to watch the tutor’s video stream. This can be a smartphone, tablet, smart TV or anything you can get YouTube on)

That’s it. The online software is free to use and does not require any downloads.

We hope you enjoy these resources and that your learners find them fun and engaging.

We’d love to see what you make. If you or your learners create and share your images online, please be sure to share them with us on our social networks

Mako Create would like to say a massive thank you to Wirral Libraries for funding us to make this resource.
