Introduction To Coding Computer Games.

Have you ever wanted to create your own computer games?
This online workshop is the perfect introduction to those interested in coding and computer games. During the session, you will be given a crash course on how you can use a smartphone, tablet or computer to start coding your own computer games. Participants will learn how to go from idea to publishing a computer game online and get hands-on learning about:
- Character Design
- Alpha & Beta Testing
- Publishing Games Online
Monday 11th May, 5:00PM-6:30PM
This is an online session. Once you have signed up you will be sent a link to join the live video at the time of the event.
We are looking for young people from Cheshire East with an interest in the creative sector, between the ages of 11 and 25 who would like to develop their creative and personal skill sets. This session will be open to mixed ability levels, with no previous experience required. Young people from Crewe facing challenging circumstances, such as being a young carer, in foster care or those who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) will be given priority.
As this is an online session you will require the following:
- A device connected to the internet, to watch the tutor’s video stream. (A webcam and microphone would be useful but not essential)
- A device connected to the internet, to create your game on MakeCode Arcade Website
If you would like to take part and are aged 11-17 you will need a Parent/Guardian to apply on your behalf.
