What is Creative Hang Out?
Our Creative Hang Outs are a series of fun, engaging sessions for young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. If you’re aged 18 to 25 and attend Cavendish High School you can join us to develop your creative skills while socialising with friends old and new.
What will happen at the sessions?
At Creative Hang Out you will have an opportunity to meet like-minded people for a chat and a bit of fun in a supportive, positive space.
At each session you will have the opportunity to try a whole host of creative activities; ranging from animation, coding and graphic design through to crafting and electronics. We want you and the rest of the group to help us shape what activities you’ll do in the five sessions. So come along and tell us what you’re interested in, and we’ll get you involved in planning it into the programme.
No prior experience is needed to take part in any activity and all equipment will be provided by us. We’ve got some friendly tutors who are experts in digital arts and technology to help you along the way.
Who can get involved?
For this project, we’re looking for people who:
- Are aged 18-25
- Live in Halton
- Attend Cavendish High School
- Have a learning disability or autism
- Would like to get together with other young adults to socialise and be creative
There are a maximum of 10 places available for participants in this project, all five sessions will take place at Cavendish Academy.
When and where will the sessions take place?
The Creative Hang Outs are starting on 10th May at The Cavendish High Academy, Lincoln Cl, Runcorn WA7 4YX and will run for five weeks.
Every session will be held at 3.30pm until 5.30pm on a Wednesday. You do not need to be a pupil at Cavendish Academy to get involved in Creative Hang Out.
