Have you ever wanted to learn how to make changes to pictures you’ve taken with your digital camera or smartphone?

This online workshop is brought to you in partnership with Wirral Libraries, who have been inspired by the success of their recent photography competitions, so have asked Mako Create to do a fun introductory workshop into the world of digital photo editing.

This is a perfect introduction to anyone interested in photography and digital photo manipulation. During the session, you will be given a crash course on how you can use FREE online photo editing software (think “photoshop lite”) to make changes such as cropping, rotating, scaling and touching up your digital pictures. 

Participants will learn how to go from taking an image directly from their camera and turning it into something that is ready to share with the world.


No previous experience is needed to take part in this workshop, meaning it’s perfect for beginners. We suggest a minimum age of 8 for our activities. If you’re not quite old enough why not see if an adult can stay and help you.

As this is an online session you will require the following:

  • A computer/laptop with internet access to edit your photos on.
  • (Ideally) Another device connected to the internet, to watch the tutor’s video stream. This can be a smartphone, tablet, smart TV or anything you can get YouTube on.
