Filmmaking Course (Online) | Boost Creativity | Ages 14-17 From Cheshire East
This filmmaking course is part of our Creative Careers in Crewe programme. We’ve designed the sessions to help young people from Crewe and Cheshire East learn filmmaking skills, and help signpost pathways into careers in creative industries. This course comprises four, weekly 1.5 hour filmmaking sessions. Participants will learn about various filmmaking skills and careers whilst achieving an Arts Award Discover certificate.

No previous experience is required, these activities are suitable for young people of all abilities.
Who can get involved?
We are looking for young people from Cheshire East with an interest in the creative sector, who would like to develop their filmmaking skills.
The course will run for three age ranges, 11-13, 14-17 and 18-25.
Young people from Crewe and young people in challenging circumstances will be prioritised.
What are the costs?
In fact, participants who successfully complete the course will receive a £20 Amazon voucher.
When does the project start?
This project is made up of 4 weekly, 1.5-hour sessions. The sessions will be held on Thursday’s during the Summer holidays.
Course Dates: 4th August, 11th August, 18th August, 25th August
- Ages 11-13: 10am-11:30am
- Ages 14-17: 12:30pm-2pm
- Ages 18-25: 3pm-4:30pm
Where will the sessions take place?
The course sessions will and will be hosted on Zoom, which is a popular and safe virtual meeting platform.
What equipment do I need?
The course will be delivered remotely (online), enabling participants to learn from the comfort of their own homes. To be able to do this you will need the following:
- Access to the internet
- A device to watch the zoom video link (computer/laptop or tablet)
- Another device to take part in the activity (tablet or smartphone)
- A Google/Gmail account to access Google Classroom. (age groups 14-17 and 18-25 only).
