During this seven week project participants will develop filmmaking skills, with particular focus on team-working and wellbeing while working towards creative goals. They will also learn about possible pathways into creative careers and get inspiration for other future endeavours.
The range of activities on offer includes:
- Shooting and editing video
- Recording and editing audio
- Creating a movie trailer
- Introduction to types of shot
- Introduction to film genres
- Looking at different pathways into the industry
- Talking about films! Your favourite films, actors, directors…
This project is part of our Creativity for Wellbeing in Halton project, funded by Halton Borough Council.
Who can get involved?
We are looking for young people from Halton aged 10-16 who have an interest in filmmaking.
There are a maximum of 10 places available for participants on this project
When does the project start?
This project is made up of 7 weekly 2 hour sessions. The sessions will be held after-school on Thursdays at 4:00pm-6:00pm:

- 25th November
- 2nd December
- 9th December
- 16th December
Where will the sessions take place?
The sessions will take place at Halton Lea Library, Runcorn, WA7 2PF
Equipment you’ll need:
Mako Create will bring all of the equipment needed to participate in this session.
We will be practicing social distancing and where not medically exempt, will be requesting that facial coverings are worn by all children aged 11 and over while moving around the venue. This is to protect your young person and our staff
