Project Overview.

Thanks to funding from Halton Borough Council we have expanded our Creative & Digital Careers in Halton project to enable us to deliver a series of FREE Creative & Digital Careers workshops for young people aged 10-16, from Halton.

Mako Create will provide the young people with the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops involving digital arts and technology, whereby they will learn an array of new skills using state of the art technology. The sessions will be linked back to Creative & Digital Careers, giving insight into what it is like to work in the industry.

As Halton is an area of high deprivation and high unemployment, we want to inspire local young people to consider how they could enter a career in the largest growing industry in the world. We want to open up a world of opportunity to the young people of Widnes and Runcorn.

Who can get involved?

We are looking for young people aged 10-16 from Halton, who have an interest in creative and digital careers, to take part in the project.

When does the project start?

Delivery of this project will start in November 2020 and will run through to April 2021

Where will the sessions take place?

Sessions are planned to be delivered in Runcorn and in Widnes. We are hoping to be able to deliver all of the sessions face-to-face, but we will be monitoring government guidance around the COVID pandemic, which may result in some of the sessions being delivered online.
