Explore Photo Editing (Online) | Creative Careers in Crewe

This online short course is part of our Crewe Creative Careers programme. This project is designed to help young people from challenging circumstances to get into creative careers.

During this five-week course, participants will take part in weekly creative activities, learning new skills and about pathways into creative careers. They will share their experiences and skills with others and work toward achieving an Arts Award Explore certificate.

Activities Include:

  • Introduction to Photo Editing.
  • Working with layers. 
  • Retouching Images.
  • Creating a Colour Splash image. 
  • Removing Objects From Images.
  • Looking at different pathways into the industry. 

What Will The Lessons Be Like?

All of the sessions are delivered online to small class sizes (maximum 10) by two tutors with industry experience.

Incentives.

As an incentive for successfully completing* the course, participants will receive a £25 Amazon voucher.
(*successful completion means attending all 5 weeks and completing all work)

Who Can Enroll?

We are looking for young people from Cheshire East with an interest in the creative sector, who would like to develop their creative and personal skill set. Applicants should be aged between 11 and 25, the course will run for two age ranges, 11-17 and 18-25. Young people from Crewe and young people in challenging circumstances will be prioritised. 

No previous experience in photo editing is required to take part in this course. 

Course Dates & Times.

The session will run weekly on Mondays. 

Course Dates: 1st March, 8th March, 15th March, 22nd March, 29th March.  

Ages 11-17: 4pm-6pm

Ages 18-25: 7pm-9pm

Technical Requirements.

Due to the sessions being of a digital nature you will need:

  • A device (Computer or Tablet) connected to the internet, with the Zoom application downloaded. 
  • Another device (Computer) connected to the internet.

How To Enroll.
