What Is Computer Game Design: Pixel Art?
It’s the perfect way to develop creative skills, whilst making your own game! This retro computer game inspired workshop allows you to make your own 16-bit platformer, inspired by Super Mario Bros & Sonic The Hedgehog.
Using an easy to learn, block based drawing system, you’ll soon become a game design master. Don’t worry, you don’t need prior coding or game design skills, and we provide all equipment on the day.
All finished games are published online, for anyone and everyone around the world to play!

What Is Computer Game Design: Gadget Making?
Creating Hardware transports you into the world of coding, with this hands on workshop. During the workshop we use hardware to make our own LED based games, from making your own arcade controller to creating your own dance mat.

Who are these workshops suitable for?
Education
Computer Game Design is fantastic for academic facilities (from school to university) as it makes confusing computer concepts easy and enjoyable to learn.
Community Groups
The flexibility of Computer Game Coding means it can be made to suit anyone or any group, regardless of their skill level.
Private Events
As with all our workshops, we can come to you, with all equipment included. We can also teach this course online via live stream, all you’d need is to provide your own Smartdevice (such as Phone or Tablet).
What sort of space will I need?
A space with tables is always ideal, as it allows you to engage with the tablets comfortably. Talk to us, if you have any worries about your prefered venue.
Will I need internet access?
Having acess to the internet on-site is always useful for us. Especially with workshops such as Computer Game Design: Pixel Art, as its required to upload your finished content. Don’t worry if your venue doesn’t have the internet, we can bring our mobile internet with us!
What age are these workshops suitable for?
We reccomend an age of 8+ for our workshops. However, younger children may be able to engage with adult supervision.
What will I need to bring/provide?
All equipment is brought by us, all you need to bring is yourself!
What if I know nothing about technology?
Do not worry, these are beginners courses and require no previous experience. Our expert tutors will be able to comprehensively explain everything you need to know.
